Even though these are very common thoughts and feelings.
When going thorough a tough time people often experience emotions that are intense and uncomfortable.
You may be tempted to unplug and disconnect from these feelings by over eating or over drinking or avoiding. There are many ways people disconnect and avoid emotions including staying distracted.
The best cure for disconnecting from your body is to EMBODY your body and deeply connect with yourself through bodywork like massage/energy work. These therapies help you to be in your body and being in your body can help you move energy and emotions in a healthy way.

That person is there to help you when times are tough.
